Billing & Reimbursement Specialist

In order to keep up with growing demand, NorCal Respiratory is seeking a dynamic, self-motivated individual to perform the responsibilities of Billing & Reimbursement Specialist. This is a full-time position with competitive salary, generous benefits, paid vacation, 401K and profit sharing plans.

Primary job responsibilities:

  • Ensure reimbursement documentation is thorough and accurate, including services performed, patient demographics, insurance details and supporting documentation.
  • Submit claims to insurance companies and patients for reimbursement.
  • Reconcile insurance payments to patient accounts.
  • Work with insurance companies to resolve issues such as payment denials.
  • Act as a resource for Company staff and patients regarding reimbursement criteria, requirements and issues.

Attributes of the successful candidate are:

  • Working knowledge of Medicare, private insurance, third party billing and patient billing preferred.
  • Strong computer skills, especially Microsoft Excel.
  • Superior organizational skills, e.g., filing, computer, word processing, etc.

Customer Service Specialist

Primary job responsibilities:

  • Manage the patient testing and/or delivery of respiratory equipment and supplies to patients.
  • Receive inbound phone calls from healthcare providers and patients regarding products and services such as medical equipment or medical testing.
  • Receive referrals from medical Providers via phone or fax, entering the patient demographics into the database and processing orders.
  • Work with insurance companies to gain pre-authorizations and resolve issues.
  • Document thorough and timely documentation of services performed along with complete patient demographics, insurance details and support documentation.

Licensed Vocational Nurse

Seeking a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) in the Redding area that is looking for a chance to learn and grow with the region’s premier respiratory healthcare company. This is a key position that will work under the supervision of a Respiratory Therapist to fulfill the respiratory therapy orders from medical Providers.   • Educating new sleep test patients about sleep apnea and the importance of CPAP therapy.
  • Fitting new patients on CPAP masks and educating them on the care and use of CPAP equipment.

  • Addressing issues or concerns with CPAP therapy to help ensure maximum compliance.
  • Scheduling and verifying appointments for patients.
  • Setting up and helping manage non-invasive ventilator patients.

Respiratory Therapist – Part Time

NorCal Respiratory Inc. is seeking a Respiratory Therapist who is looking for a chance to learn and grow with a local healthcare company. This is a key position with a great deal of autonomy and directly influences the care and treatment of patients in a local progressive care, assisted living and skilled nursing facility. It is a part-time position at this time, minimum of 10 hours per week, with competitive salary and flexible hours.

Primary job responsibilities:

  • Perform care consistent with the scope of licensure and generally accepted respiratory therapy practices and in accordance with the facility’s policies and procedures.
  • Provide respiratory therapy services pursuant to a consultation prescribed by the facility’s resident physician.
  • Provide an initial assessment on each new resident, which includes nature and extent of impairment, develop a treatment plan consistent with those findings, and be responsible for communicating the treatment plan to the resident physician.
